Matt and I decided we would go to a very random restaurant for dinner last night with Miss Caroline. We opted for the Sky Galley Restaurant, which is located at the Lunken Airport. Lunken Airport is a really neat place to visit and it is only minutes from our house. It has been around since the late 1920's and it literally sits atop the land that was occupied by the first settlers in this region in 1788. The airport is used primarily for general and corporate aviation, therefore there are lots of really fancy planes as well as a number of private planes. The restaurant has been around nearly as long as the airport and sits right to the side of one of the airstrips, allowing the guests to watch planes come and go. If you live in Cincinnati and have young children, I would say this is a really neat and pretty inexpensive place to eat, not to mention there is a fabulous playground and a 5 mile bike/walking trail. We learned from our menus that apparently it is the largest municipal airport in the world...who would have known? (By the way...you can learn a lot of random things from restaurant menus)

You amaze me! How do you find these "random" yet such fun places? I think my boys and Mara would love it. Did they have kid friendly food? Sounds like a must before we move.
