Pre-Caroline, Matt and I were somewhat spontaneous people. We would find something random to do at the very last minute. Many times that would entail driving to random small towns or restaurants... Nowadays, we still try to be somewhat spontaneous, although on a little different scale due to our lovely addition to our family. :)
Last night we decided at the last minute to go to the Red's game downtown. Mind you, the game started at 7pm and Caroline's bedtime is around 8pm. We decided we would chance it and keep her up past her bedtime. We bought the cheapest seats in the house, $7, and literally sat in the very last row of the stadium! I think that worked out well though because our little peanut could have cared less about baseball. She was quite sleepy and not wanting to sit on anyone's lap. So we spent 3 innings standing up with her (luckily, no one was behind us). Then we decided to walk around the stadium for a while before leaving.
Our spontaneous trip was a lot of fun, but perhaps Caroline might have enjoyed staring at the back of her eyelids in the comfort of her own crib. Perhaps next time we'll go to an earlier game with her.

Good for you for being spontaneous with a tiny one. It doesn't seem that she minded. She looks pretty happy. Andy and the kids and grandparents were all down at the game too. Did you get your figurine?? By the way, where is her Red's gear??? Just kidding, pink sure is close enough:)
And by the way, siblings are wonderful. On the rare occassion when I am at home with just one of the kids, it is almost harder because you are thier main source of entertainment.
