Miss Caroline and her "Mimi"Caroline and I went to visit with "Mimi" today. Mimi is my Grandma and obviously Caroline's Great-Grandma. I am so grateful that Mimi has the opportunity to get to know little Miss Caroline. When my Grandfather died 5 years ago, it was a heartache for our entire family. He was truly the "patriarch" of our family and a hero to so many. His death caused my Grandmother to become sad, depressed and alone.
With the arrival of Caroline Kathleen, a light has sparked in Mimi's eyes again. Each time we go for a visit, Mimi immediately smiles at Caroline and is truly happy and content. Caroline is truly the one reason my Grandmother keeps holding on to her life, for without Caroline, I think she wishes she were in heaven with her husband!
